Smoked Dried Chicken Curry
A flavorful and aromatic dish that combines the richness of smoke with the depth of dried spices. Serve with steamed basmati rice or naan bread.
Ingredients
- β1 pound dried chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 teaspoons smoke paprika
- β1 tablespoon curry powderhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons citrus juice (lemon)
- β2 tablespoons coconut oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 inches gingergrated
- β1 teaspoon garam masala
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the smoke paprika, curry powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper.

Toss the chicken pieces with the spice mixture until evenly coated.

Heat the coconut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the citrus juice and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
