Sweet Dorayaki Chicken Drumsticks
Crunchy chicken drumsticks smothered in a sweet dorayaki-inspired teriyaki sauce, perfect for a quick Japanese-style dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken drumsticks
- β2 dorayaki
- β1/4 cup soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- β1 tablespoon sesame oil
- β1/4 cup green onions

Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

In a blender or food processor, combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Blend until smooth.

Add 1-2 dorayaki to the blender and blend until well combined.

Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl and pour the dorayaki sauce over them. Toss to coat.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Arrange the chicken drumsticks on the baking sheet.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the chicken is baking, toast the dorayaki slices in a toaster or under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Once the chicken is done, brush the dorayaki slices with a little water and place them on top of the chicken drumsticks.

Sprinkle with green onions and serve hot.
