Creamy Macaroni Bake

- β1 cup buttermilk
- β1/4 cup silkNote: Use a mixture of water and cornstarch if you can't find silk
- β2 tbsp polishNote: Use a mixture of butter and flour if you can't find polish
- β1/2 cup parmesan cheeseOptional
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the polish over medium heat.

Add the buttermilk and silk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese until melted.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, buttermilk mixture, and salt and pepper to taste.
