German Oat Pudding
A hearty German-inspired oat pudding recipe, perfect for a cold winter morning.
Ingredients
- β1/2 cup rolled oatsold-fashioned or quick oats work well
- β1 cup milkdairy or non-dairy milk, such as almond milk
- β2 eggsbeaten
- β2 tbsp honeyoptional
- β1 tsp vanilla extractoptional
- β1/4 tsp cinnamonoptional
- βpinch saltoptional

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a medium saucepan, combine oats, milk, beaten eggs, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until oats have absorbed most of the liquid and the mixture has a creamy consistency.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Transfer mixture to 2-3 individual baking dishes or ramekins.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is lightly golden.
