Saskatoon Berry Baozi Dessert
A sweet and exotic dessert featuring saskatoon berries and crunchy baozi crumbs.
Ingredients
- β250g Saskatoon Berries
- β4 pieces Baozicrushed into crumbs
- β100g Granulated Sugar
- β20g Cornstarch
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β50ml Water
- β20g Unsalted Butter
- β5ml Vanilla Extract

Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

In a bowl, mix together saskatoon berries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix crushed baozi crumbs and unsalted butter until well combined.

Add the berry mixture to the baozi crumb mixture and stir until well combined.

Add water and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until a dough forms.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm (1/2 inch).

Cut out small squares of dough, about 5 cm (2 inches) per side.

Place a small spoonful of saskatoon berries in the center of each square.

Fold the dough over the berries to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the baozi with unsalted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Serve warm, dust with powdered sugar if desired.
