Smoked Pork Dumplings
A hearty and flavorful Slovakian-inspired dish featuring smoked pork and pan-seared dumplings.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Smoked Pork Shoulder
- β2 cups All-purpose Flour
- β2 Eggs
- β1 cup Milk
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- β1 tsp Exotic Spices (e.g. paprika, caraway seeds)
- β1 packet Slovakian Dumpling Mix (or substitute with flour and eggs)

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and exotic spices. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

2. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes elastic.

3. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

4. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten slightly into a disk shape.

5. Heat a large skillet or frying pan with a couple of tablespoons of oil over medium heat.

6. Add the dumplings to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

7. Meanwhile, slice the smoked pork shoulder into thin strips.

8. Add the pork strips to the pan with the dumplings and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

9. Serve the smoked pork and dumplings hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or dill if desired.
