Classic Italian Lasagna
A traditional Italian dish made with layers of ground beef, lasagna noodles, and a blend of cheeses. A classic comfort food that's sure to please.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef80/20 ground beef
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna Noodlesdried
- β2 cups Exquisite Tomato Saucehomemade or store-bought
- β16 ounces Gooey Ricotta Cheesewhole milk ricotta
- β2 teaspoons Italian Seasoningdried
- β8 ounces Mozzarella Cheeseshredded
- β1 cup Parmesan Cheeseshaved or grated

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Stir in Italian seasoning and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomato sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Spread a layer of the tomato sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Repeat the layers, starting with the noodles, then the tomato sauce, then the remaining ricotta cheese mixture, and finally the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
