Pan-Seared Slovakian Pork Chops with Roast Turnips
A hearty and flavorful dish featuring Slovakian pork chops, pan-seared to perfection and served with a side of roasted turnips.
Ingredients
- β4 Slovakian pork chops1-1.5 inches thick
- β2 Turnipspeeled and chopped into 1-inch cubes
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor pan-frying
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1 tsp Garlic powderoptional
- β1 tsp Roastto taste
- βchopped (optional) Fresh parsleyfor garnish

Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned.

Transfer the pork chops to a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.

Toss the chopped turnips with the roast and a pinch of salt. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast the turnips in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and caramelized.
