Pâté de Cassoulet
A classic French dish made with pork sausage, white beans, and a crispy crumble topping. Perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Canadian bacon
- ●1 cup Fermented beans (cannellini beans)
- ●1/2 cup Crumble topping
- ●2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ●1 medium Onion
- ●2 cloves Garlic
- ●1 sprig Thyme
- ●to taste Salt

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large Dutch oven, cook the Canadian bacon over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the olive oil, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the fermented beans, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

While the cassoulet is baking, prepare the crumble topping by mixing the crumble topping with a pinch of salt.

After the cassoulet has baked for 20 minutes, remove it from the oven and top with the crumble topping.

Return the pot to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the crumble topping is golden brown.

Remove the pot from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
