Polish Fruit Dumplings
A traditional Polish dessert known as 'Paczki' filled with sweet fruit and topped with a sweet icing. This recipe uses a fermented dough to give it a unique texture and flavor.
Ingredients
- β1 package Fermented dough (Paczki dough)Available at most Polish markets or online
- β1 cup Mixed fruit (cherries, blueberries, raspberries)Can be adjusted to personal preference
- β1 tablespoon Polish mix (powdered sugar, cinnamon)Available at most Polish markets or online
- β1 tablespoon Chewy sugarOptional, for extra sweetness
Instructions

Mix the fermented dough according to the package instructions.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a tablespoon of mixed fruit in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the fruit to form a triangle and press the edges together to seal.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and gently add the dumplings.

Cook the dumplings for 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.
