Blackberry Empanada Dumplings
A sweet and savory twist on traditional Chinese dumplings, featuring blackberry empanada filling.
Ingredients
- β1 package Fermented doughAvailable at most Asian markets.
- β1 jar Gooey empanada fillingAvailable at most Latin American markets.
- β1 cup Blackberries
- β1/2 cup Sugar
- β1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- β1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1 Egg
- β1/4 teaspoon Argentinian vanilla extractAvailable at most Latin American markets.
Instructions

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Roll out the fermented dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter.

Spoon a small amount of gooey empanada filling onto one half of the dough circle.

Top the filling with a few blackberries and a sprinkle of sugar.

Fold the dough in half and press the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the dumplings with a beaten egg and sprinkle with cornstarch.

Heat the vegetable oil in the skillet and add the dumplings.
