German-Style Quesadilla
A twist on traditional Mexican quesadillas, this recipe combines the flavors of Germany with the comfort of a cheesy tortilla.
Ingredients
- β4-6 pieces german tortillas (or regular tortillas)
- β1 cup shredded queso fresco or mozzarella cheese
- β1/2 cup fermented sauerkraut
- β2 tbsp gooey honey mustard
- β salt and pepper
Instructions

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.

Place a tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle shredded cheese on half of the tortilla.

Add 1/4 cup of fermented sauerkraut on top of the cheese.

Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.

Flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until the other side is crispy.

Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Cut the quesadilla into wedges and serve with a side of gooey honey mustard for dipping.
