Saudi Kookoora with Fermented Twist
A unique Saudi dish with a fermented twist. This recipe combines the flavors of traditional kookoora with the tanginess of fermented ingredients.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, chopped Fermented TurnipsUse store-bought or homemade fermented turnips
- β4-6 pieces Saudi-Style FlatbreadTraditionally made with wheat flour, water, and salt
- β1 cup, chopped KookooraA traditional Saudi side dish made with fried onions and sometimes meat
- β1/2 cup, sliced OnionsUse yellow or white onions for the best flavor
- β2 cloves, minced GarlicUse fresh garlic for the best flavor
- βto taste SaltAdjust to taste based on the fermented turnips
- βto taste Black PepperAdd freshly ground black pepper for the best flavor

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
