Ukrainian Mushroom Dumplings
Delicious and comforting Ukrainian-inspired dumplings filled with a savory mushroom and fermented filling.
Ingredients

- ●1/2 cup velvety sour cream
- ●1/4 cup ukrainian fermented cabbage
- ●1 1/2 cups mushroom filling
- ●1 cup mushrooms (such as cremini or shiitake)
- ●1/2 cup onion
- ●2 cloves garlic
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1/4 tsp black pepper

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add water and mix until dough forms.

Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare mushroom filling by sautéing mushrooms, onion, and garlic until softened.

Add fermented cabbage and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Divide dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon of mushroom filling in the center of each circle. Fold dough over filling and press edges to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add dumplings and cook for 10-12 minutes.
