Fiery Syrian Dumplings
A spicy twist on traditional dumplings, filled with creamy cheese and crispy onions. Serve with a side of fiery sauce for an added kick.
Ingredients
- ●2 cups flour doughuse gluten-free flour for gluten-free option
- ●1/4 cup crispy onionscan be pre-made or store-bought
- ●1 cup shredded cheese fiery cheesespicy cheese or pepper jack work well
- ●1/4 cup creamfor cream cheese or cheese sauce
- ●12-15 wrappers dumpling wrappersuse store-bought or homemade
- ●1/4 cup fiery saucehot sauce or sriracha work well

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C)

Make the dough by mixing flour, water, and salt. Knead for 5-7 minutes.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch (6 mm)

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a spoonful of crispy onions and fiery cheese in the center of each circle.

Brush the edges with cream and fold the dough in half to form a triangle or a square.

Seal the edges by pressing with a fork or your fingers.

Heat 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) of oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C)

Fry the dumplings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
