Tagine with Beans and Butter
A flavorful and hearty North African stew made with beans, butter, and a hint of lebanese spices.

Ingredients
- β250g dried beanssuch as chickpeas or kidney beans
- β50g buttersalted or unsalted
- β2 tsp lebanese spice mixor use ground cumin, coriander, and cinnamon
- β1 tsp tagine spicesuch as ras el hanout or paprika
- β1L wateror use vegetable broth for added flavor
- β100ml fizzy wateroptional, for added acidity

Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the lebanese spice mix and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the dried beans and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
