Uruguayan Flaky Casserole

- ●1.5 pounds Beef (Uruguayan style ground beef)80/20 lean to fat ratio

- ●3 cloves GarlicMinced
- ●1 package Flaky pastry doughThawed
- ●2 tablespoons ButterMelted

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Roll out the flaky pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the cooked meat mixture to one half of the pastry dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.

Dot the top of the meat mixture with melted butter.

Fold the other half of the pastry dough over the meat mixture and press the edges to seal.

Use a knife to cut a few slits in the top of the pastry to allow steam to escape.
