French Shepherd's Pie
A classic French-inspired dish made with ground beef, vegetables, and topped with a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Irish potatodiced
- β1 store-bought or homemade Flaky pie crustthawed
- β1 medium Fragrant onionchopped
- β1 pound Ground beef90% lean
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the diced potatoes to the pan and stir to combine with the meat mixture.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Transfer the meat and potato mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Roll out the flaky pie crust to fit the top of the baking dish and place it on top of the filling.

Dot the top of the pie crust with the unsalted butter.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
