Jamaican Cherry Crumble
A warm and comforting dessert featuring a rich jamaican-inspired cherry filling topped with a crunchy crumble.
Ingredients
- β2 cups cherriesfresh or frozen
- β1 sheet (thawed) flakypuff pastry
- β1/2 cup brown sugar
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup buttermelted
- β1 tsp cinnamon
- β1/4 tsp nutmeg
- β1 cup crumbleoat mixture

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, combine cherries, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the pastry to a 9x9 inch baking dish, trimming any excess pastry.

Pour the cherry mixture into the pastry-lined baking dish.

In a small bowl, mix together the crumble mixture. Spread the crumble mixture evenly over the filling.

Dot the top of the crumble with the melted butter.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the crumble is crispy.
