Traditional British Trifle
A classic English dessert consisting of layers of sponge cake, fruit, custard, and whipped cream.

- β1 pint, hulled and sliced strawberries
- β1 pint raspberries
- β1 cup, homemade or store-bought custard
- β1 cup, whipped whipped cream
- β1 tsp vanilla extract

Soak the sponge cake cubes in the fruit juices for about 30 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the soaked sponge cake cubes and fruit.
