Grilled Cheese Fritters with Floral Aioli

Ingredients
- β1 loaf portuguese breadpreferably day-old bread
- β1 cup, shredded cheddar cheesesharp or mild, whichever you prefer
- β2 tbsp floral honeysuch as lavender or chamomile
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dusting
- β2 eggsbeaten
- β1/4 cup creamheavy or whipping cream
- β1 tsp grill seasoningsuch as paprika or garlic powder

Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, honey, and a pinch of salt.

Dip each bread cube into the beaten eggs, coating completely, then roll in the cheese-honey mixture to coat.

Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few bread cubes to the skillet and flatten slightly with a spatula.
