Stir-Fried Phyllo Rolls with Floral Sauce
A unique Japanese-inspired dessert combining crispy phyllo rolls with a sweet and floral sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 package (usually 1 roll) Phyllo dough
- β1 cup Floral sauce (see below for recipe)
- β1/4 cup Velvety syrup (e.g., honey, maple syrup)
- β1 tablespoon Stir-fry oil
- β FryVegetable oil for deep-frying
- β2 tablespoons Sugar
- β1/4 cup Syrian cream
- β1/4 cup Water
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt

Cut the phyllo dough into 1-inch wide strips.

Brush the strips with stir-fry oil and fold them into triangles.

Place the phyllo triangles on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the phyllo is baking, prepare the floral sauce by mixing syrup, Syrian cream, and water in a saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
