Russet and Fluffy Potato Gratin
A rich and creamy potato gratin featuring russet and fluffy potatoes, perfect as a side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
- β2 lbs russet potatoesthinly sliced
- β1 1/2 lbs fluffy potatoesthinly sliced
- β1/2 lb croatian potatoesthinly sliced
- β4 tbsp unsalted butter
- β1 cup grated cheese
- β1/2 cup heavy cream
- β1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large saucepan, combine sliced potatoes and enough cold water to cover.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Drain potatoes and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

Add sliced potatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they start to brown.

Transfer the potato mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a separate saucepan, combine grated cheese, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.

Stir over low heat until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
