Mexican Pork Tacos
A delicious and easy-to-make recipe for soft tacos filled with slow-cooked pork. Perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Pork shoulder
- β8-10 Fluffy tortillasYou can use store-bought or homemade tortillas
- β1 tablespoon Mexican seasoningYou can use a store-bought or homemade blend
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1/2 cup Taco sauce
- β1 cup Shredded cheeseYou can use cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- β1/4 cup Cilantro

1. Preheat your oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

2. In a large Dutch oven or oven-safe pot, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

3. Season the pork shoulder with Mexican seasoning and sear it until browned on all sides.

4. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.

5. Add the taco sauce to the pot and stir to combine.

6. Cover the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven.

7. Braise the pork for 2-3 hours, or until it's tender and easily shreds with a fork.

8. While the pork is cooking, warm the tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

9. Once the pork is done, shred it with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.

10. Assemble the tacos by spooning the pork mixture onto a tortilla and topping with cheese, cilantro, and any other desired toppings.
