Panforte Italian Dessert
A traditional Italian dessert made with fruit and nuts, typically served during the holidays.
Ingredients

- β1 cup dried fruitsuch as cranberries and cherries
- β1/2 cup honey
- β1 panforte pan
- β1 medium leekminced
- β1 tsp italian spices
- β1 tsp orange zest
- β1/2 cup chopped nuts
- β1/4 cup powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Grease the panforte pan and dust it with powdered sugar.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almonds, dried fruit, honey, leek, and italian spices.

Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.

Add the chopped nuts and mix until they are evenly distributed.

Pour the mixture into the prepared panforte pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the panforte is firm to the touch.

Remove the panforte from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Transfer the panforte to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the panforte is cool, dust it with powdered sugar and serve.
