Moroccan Briouat Delights
Indulge in these crispy and savory Moroccan briouats filled with spiced meat, perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground meat
- β1 medium, finely chopped Onion
- β2 inches, grated Ginger
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1 package, thawed Briouat pastry
- β1, beaten Egg
- β1 tablespoon Milk
- β1 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 375Β°F.

In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.

Add the chopped onion, grated ginger, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Unroll the briouat pastry and cut it into squares.

Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center of each square.

Brush the edges with the beaten egg and fold the pastry squares into triangles.

Press the edges to seal and brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Fry the briouats in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
