Uruguayan Chocolate Mousse
A rich, decadent dessert featuring the bold flavors of Uruguay and the creaminess of chocolate mousse.
Ingredients
- β8 ounces Uruguayan chocolate
- β1 cup heavy cream
- β2 tablespoons unsalted buttersoftened
- β1 cup granulated sugar
- β1 large eggat room temperature
- β1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt the chocolate, stirring occasionally.

Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and let it cool slightly.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it begins to thicken.

Add the softened butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
