Crispy Duck Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic Indian-inspired dish featuring crispy-skinned duck in a fragrant rice biryani.
Ingredients
- β1 Duck breast
- β2 cups Basmati ricesoaked for 30 minutes
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β2 tsp Ginger paste
- β1 tsp Garlic paste
- β1 tsp Cumin powder
- β1 tsp Coriander powder
- β1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- β1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- βto taste Salt

Preheat the oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Pat the duck breast dry with paper towels and season with salt.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the duck breast until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the duck breast for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.

In a large saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder to the saucepan. Cook for 1 minute.

Add 2 cups of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

Add the soaked Basmati rice to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.

Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and stir in some chopped cilantro (optional).

Slice the roasted duck breast and serve with the crispy-skinned duck on top of the flavorful rice biryani.
