Spanish Croquetas
A classic Spanish dish made with a mixture of ham, fish, and vegetables, coated in a crunchy all-purpose flour batter.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, diced Ham
- β1 cup, flaked Fish (Cod or Haddock)
- β1/2 cup Onionfinely chopped
- β1 cup All-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup Breadcrumbsfunky, crumbly
- β1 large Egg
- β1 package Spanish croquetas mix
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oil

In a large bowl, combine the ham, fish, onion, and croquetas mix.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and flour.

Add the breadcrumb mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Using a spoon, drop small balls of the dough into the oil.

Fry the croquetas until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
