Malaysian Beef Curry
A flavorful and aromatic beef curry dish inspired by the cuisine of Malaysia. This recipe is a hearty and comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beefcut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 kidneyoptional
- β2 tablespoons currymalaysian curry paste
- β2 tablespoons coconut oilfor frying
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 inch gingergrated
- β2 tablespoons fish sauceoptional
- β1 tablespoon sugaroptional
- β2 tablespoons lemon juiceoptional

Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the pan.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the curry paste to the pan and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the fish sauce, sugar, and lemon juice to the pan and cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef back to the pan and stir to coat with the curry sauce.
