Filipino Spring Rolls
A popular Filipino snack made with tender spring rolls filled with a delicious mixture of vegetables and served with a sweet chili sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 package (usually 20-24 wrappers) Spring roll wrappers
- β1 cup Shredded cabbage
- β1 cup Shredded carrots
- β1 cup Shredded bean sprouts
- β1/4 cup Chopped green onions
- β2 tablespoons Ginger paste
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oil

1. Fill a large bowl with warm water.

2. Dip a spring roll wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds, until it becomes soft and pliable.

3. Remove the wrapper from the water and place it on a clean surface.

4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the vegetable mixture onto the center of the wrapper.

5. Fold the bottom half of the wrapper up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up the wrapper to form a tight cylinder.

6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

7. Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

8. When the oil is hot, add a few of the spring rolls to the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

9. Remove the spring rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels.

10. Serve hot with a sweet chili sauce for dipping.
