Tunisian Fish Tagine
A flavorful North African-inspired fish dish cooked in a traditional clay pot. Flaky fish, aromatic spices, and a hint of sweetness come together in this easy-to-make tagine.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Fish (1 lb)
- β1/2 teaspoon Tunisian Tagine Spice Mix (1/2 tsp)
- β1/4 cup Gently Fried Onions (1/4 cup)
- β2 tablespoons Flavored Olive Oil (2 tbsp)
- β1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley (1/4 cup)
- βto taste Salt (to taste)
- βto taste Black Pepper (to taste)
- β2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (2 tbsp)
- β1 teaspoon Honey (1 tsp)

Season the fish with salt and black pepper.

Heat the flavored olive oil in a large clay pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the gently fried onions and cook until fragrant.

Add the Tunisian Tagine Spice Mix and cook for 1 minute.

Arrange the fish in the pot and spoon some of the spice mix over the top.

Pour in the lemon juice and honey.
