Saudian Fish Tagine
A classic North African dish with a blend of aromatic spices and tender fish.
Ingredients
- β2 Fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)Fresh or frozen, thawed
- β2 inches GingerSliced
- β2 tablespoons Ginger pasteAvailable in most supermarkets
- β1 teaspoon CuminGround
- β1 teaspoon CorianderGround
- β1 teaspoon PaprikaSmoked
- β1/2 teaspoon SaltFlaky sea salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepperFreshly ground
- β2 tablespoons Olive oilHigh-quality
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleyChopped
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large clay or ceramic tagine over medium heat.

Add the sliced ginger and cook for 2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the fish fillets, skin side up (if they have skin). Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the skin is golden brown.

Flip the fish over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until cooked through.

Stir in the ginger paste and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
