Algerian Chicken Tagine

- β1 pound chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β1/2 cup glazed almonds
- β1 teaspoon cinnamon
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β1 teaspoon coriander
- β1 tablespoon gingergrated
- β1 tablespoon lemongrassgrated
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 tablespoons tomato paste
- β2 tablespoons honey
- β1 cup water
- β1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- β1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Heat butter in a clay pot over medium heat.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add ginger, lemongrass, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook for 1 minute.

Add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
