Buddha's Wall of Tofu Delight
A smoky, savory dish inspired by Chinese cuisine, featuring tofu as the main star.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) Extra-firm tofuCrisp-fried for a golden brown exterior
- β2 tbsp Gloriously smoky vegetable oilFor a rich, savory flavor
- β2 tbsp Buddha jumps over the wall sauceA sweet and savory condiment
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantroFor garnish and added freshness
- β1/4 cup Chopped scallionsFor added crunch and flavor

1. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of gloriously smoky vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add the tofu to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

5. Add the chopped scallions and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

6. Add the Buddha jumps over the wall sauce and stir to combine.

7. Add the cooked tofu back into the skillet and stir to combine with the sauce.

8. Sprinkle the Chinese five-spice powder over the tofu and stir to combine.

9. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the flavors have melded together.
