Croatian Pasta Bake
A hearty pasta bake with a twist of Croatian flavors and a creamy golden sauce.
Ingredients
- ●8 oz pastapenne or macaroni work well
- ●2 tbsp golden paprikasmoked paprika can be substituted
- ●1/2 cup creamy sour creamadjust to taste
- ●1/4 cup croatian cheesepaški sir or similar work well
- ●2 cloves garlicminced
- ●2 tsp olive oilfor cooking
- ●1 tsp saltto taste
- ●1/4 cup fresh parsleychopped, for garnish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in golden paprika, sour cream, and Croatian cheese. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, paprika sauce, and salt. Mix well to combine.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with additional Croatian cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the pasta is heated through.
