Pecan Caramel Tagine
A twist on traditional tagine with caramelized pecans and gooey caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- β1/2 cup goey caramel sauce
- β1/2 cup caramelized pecans
- β2 tsp tagine spice blend
- β4 dates
- β1/4 cup almonds
- β2 tbsp coconut oil
- β2 tbsp maple syrup
- β1/4 cup water
- β1/4 tsp baking powder
- β1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Mix together tagine spice blend, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large skillet, heat coconut oil over medium heat.

Add caramelized pecans and cook for 2 minutes.

Add dates, almonds, and maple syrup to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add water to the skillet and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.

Add tagine spice blend mixture to the skillet and stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and drizzle with gooey caramel sauce.
