Pan-Seared Trout with Indian Spice
A flavorful and healthy trout dish with an Indian twist, seared to perfection in just a few minutes.
Ingredients
- β4 trout fillets
- β1 tsp fix spice blendavailable at most grocery stores
- β2 tbsp stir fry oilsuch as peanut or vegetable oil
- β1 quick lemonjuiced
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
- βchopped (optional) fresh cilantro
Instructions

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Season the trout fillets with salt and pepper.

Add the stir fry oil to the skillet and swirl to coat.

Add the trout fillets to the skillet, skin side up (if they have skin).

Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the skin is crispy.

Flip the trout over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through.

Sprinkle the fix spice blend over the top of the trout.

Squeeze the juice of the quick lemon over the top of the trout.

Serve the trout hot, garnished with chopped cilantro if desired.
