Tunisian Tagine with Grape Juice
A sweet and savory Tunisian-inspired stew made with rich flavors and grape juice.
Ingredients
- β2 tbsp Gooey Honeyfor serving
- β2 tbsp Tunisian Olive Oil
- β1 cup Grape Juicesweet and tangy
- β1 tsp Tagine Spice BlendTunisian spice mix
- β4 Chicken Thighsbone-in and skin-on
- β1 medium Red Onionchopped
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantrochopped, for garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a large clay or ceramic tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 8 minutes.

Add chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add grape juice, spice blend, and water to the tagine. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover the tagine and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 25 minutes.

Stir in honey and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with cilantro and serve over couscous or rice.
