Gooey White Chocolate Showpiece

Ingredients

- β2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- β1 cup All-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- β2 large Eggs
- β1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extracthigh-quality for best flavor
- β1 cup Powdered sugarfor dusting
- β1 cup Confectioners' sugarfor coating
- β2 tablespoons Shortening
- β Edible decorations (optional)such as sprinkles or chopped nuts

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Melt the white chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Whisk in the vanilla extract.

Pour the melted white chocolate into the dry ingredients and whisk until well combined.

Pour the batter into a prepared 9x13-inch baking dish and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey.

Once cooled, use a sharp knife to cut into desired shapes and sizes.
