Spicy Thai Dumplings
A recipe for Thai-style dumplings filled with a sweet and spicy filling, served with a side of tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 package Gooey doughavailable at most Asian markets
- β2 tablespoons Prik pasteadjust to taste
- β1 tablespoon Nam pla (fish sauce)optional, omit for vegetarian version
- β1 package DumThai-style dumpling wrappers
- β1/4 cup Sweet chili saucefor serving
- β1 tablespoon Vegetable oilfor cooking
- β1/4 cup Green onionsfor garnish
- β1/4 cup Cilantrofor garnish

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gooey dough, prik paste, and nam pla (if using). Mix until a smooth dough forms.

2. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a small egg.

3. Flatten each ball of dough into a thin circle.

4. Place a small spoonful of the sweet filling in the center of each dough circle.

5. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

6. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

7. Add the dumplings to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

8. Serve the dumplings hot with a side of sweet chili sauce for dipping.
