Spicy Italian Pasta Bake
A simple yet flavorful pasta bake that combines the spices of Italy with a kick of heat. It's perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- ●8 oz calamarata pastalong, tubular pasta shape
- ●2 cups spicy italian tomato saucehomemade or store-bought
- ●1 cup grated parmesan cheesefreshly grated is best
- ●1/4 cup fresh basil leaveschopped or torn
- ●2 tbsp olive oilfor greasing the baking dish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the calamarata pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the homemade or store-bought spicy italian tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, tomato sauce, and chopped fresh basil leaves. Toss until well combined.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the pasta.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
