Jamaican Frittata
A Caribbean-inspired breakfast dish made with eggs, spices, and a hint of Jamaican jerk seasoning.
Ingredients
- β6 eggsHard-boiled eggs not required, but can be used as an ingredient
- β1 tsp Jamaican jerk seasoningAdjust to taste
- β1 frittataStore-bought or homemade
- β1/4 cup chopped cilantroOptional
- β1/4 cup chopped scallionsOptional
- β1/2 cup shredded cheese (Monterey Jack or Cheddar)Optional
- βto taste salt and pepperAdjust to taste
- β2 tbsp olive oilFor greasing the pan

Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together with a fork. Add the Jamaican jerk seasoning and mix well.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, until the edges start to set.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the frittata is cooked through.

Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle with chopped cilantro, scallions, and shredded cheese (if using).

Use a spatula to carefully loosen the edges of the frittata from the skillet.

Slide the frittata onto a plate and serve hot.

Optional: Top with additional chopped cilantro, scallions, or shredded cheese, if desired.
