Delicate British Leaf Tarts
A classic French dessert with a delicate British twist, these leaf tarts are a delight to make and eat.
Ingredients
- β1/2 cup Butterunsalted
- β1 1/2 cups All-purpose flourgluten-free
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β2 Large eggsroom temperature
- β1 cup Heavy cream
- β1/4 cup Fresh thyme leavesdelicate
- β1 sheet Hearth-baked puff pastrythawed

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out small squares of pastry, about 3 inches per side.

In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined.

Place a small spoonful of the egg mixture onto one half of each square of pastry.

Top with a few fresh thyme leaves.

Fold the other half of the pastry square over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the tarts with a little bit of butter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
