Classic American Beef Burger
A simple recipe for a classic beef burger that is juicy and full of flavor. Serve on a toasted bun with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Ground Beef
- β4 Bun
- β1 head Lettuce
- β2 Tomato
- β4 slices CheeseAmerican or Cheddar
- β1 Onionthinly sliced
- β1 cup Picklesthinly sliced
- β1/4 cup Mayonnaise or Ketchup
- β Salt and Pepper
- β1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- β2 tablespoons Butter

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each into a ball.

3. Flatten each ball of beef into a patty.

4. Season the patties with salt and pepper.

5. Add the patties to the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

6. While the burgers are cooking, toast the buns on the grill.

7. Once the burgers are cooked, assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise or ketchup on the bottom bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a cheese slice, a beef patty, and finally the top bun.
