Brazilian Churrasco Skewers with Date BBQ Sauce

- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces Chicken breastboneless, skinless
- β1/2 pound, cut into 1-inch slices Pork sausagesuch as chorizo or linguiΓ§a

- β1 medium, cut into 1-inch pieces Red onion
- β1 medium, cut into 1-inch pieces Red bell pepper
- β1 medium, cut into 1-inch slices Zucchini
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh cilantro
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β1 cup Brazilian-style BBQ sauce

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Thread chicken, pork sausage, onion, bell pepper, and zucchini onto skewers.

In a blender or food processor, combine date, cilantro, garlic, and 1/4 cup of the BBQ sauce. Blend until smooth.

Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, heat remaining BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Brush skewers with BBQ sauce during last 2 minutes of grilling.
