Greek Tiropita
A classic Greek cheese pie made with crispy phyllo dough and a savory filling of lamb and feta cheese.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Lambground
- β1 cup, crumbled Feta cheese
- β1 package Phyllo doughthawed
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cut the phyllo dough into 2-inch squares.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the ground lamb and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the crumbled feta cheese, salt, and black pepper.

Place a phyllo square on a flat surface and brush with butter.

Place a tablespoon of the lamb and feta mixture in the center of the phyllo square.

Fold the phyllo square in half to form a triangle and press the edges together to seal.

Repeat with the remaining phyllo squares and filling.

Place the tiropita on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
