Autumn Italian Apple Strata
A hearty, garlicky Italian-inspired strata filled with apples and topped with a creamy stracciatella.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf italian breadpreferably day-old
- β2-3 applesvarieties like honeycrisp or fuji work well
- β4 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup stracciatellaat room temperature
- β4 eggsbeaten
- β1/2 cup parmesan cheesegrated

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Cube the bread and layer it in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Mix the minced garlic with the softened stracciatella and spread it over the bread.

Peel and slice the apples, then layer them over the stracciatella mixture.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the grated parmesan cheese.

Pour the egg mixture over the apple layer and smooth out the top.
