Pecan Knafeh
A Middle Eastern dessert with a twist of pecan nuts, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
- β1 package Shredded phyllo dough
- β1 cup Pecan nuts
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- β2 tablespoons Rose water
- β1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
- β1 cup Heavy cream
- β2 tablespoons Maple syrup

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Thaw the phyllo dough according to the package instructions.

In a pan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the pecan nuts and cook until fragrant.

Stir in the sugar, rose water, salt, and nutmeg. Cook for 2 minutes.

Layer the phyllo dough in a baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.

Spread the pecan mixture over the phyllo dough.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

In a separate pan, combine the heavy cream and maple syrup. Heat over low heat until warm.
