Bao-Wrapped Italian Cabbage Rolls
Italian-inspired cabbage rolls wrapped in sweet bao and baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1 head cabbage
- β4-6 pieces bao
- β1/2 cup hydrofor cooking
- β1 tsp german sausage seasoning
- β1/2 cup blue cheese crumblesoptional
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp italian seasoning
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Bring a large pot of salted hydro to a boil. Blanch cabbage for 5 minutes.

Remove cabbage from hydro and let cool. Remove leaves from cabbage and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add italian seasoning and german sausage seasoning to skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Stuff each cabbage leaf with a portion of the garlic-herb mixture.

Place a tablespoon of hydro in the center of each cabbage leaf and roll up tightly.

Place bao on a flat surface and place a cabbage roll in the center of each bao.

Fold bao over cabbage roll to form a square shape and press edges to seal.

Brush bao with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bao is golden brown.

Optional: sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles before serving.
